AC Duct Cleaning in JLT

AC duct cleaning in JLT usually means fan coil units in a tower apartment. Jumeirah Lake Towers is a grid of clusters around artificial lakes, with residential and office towers side by side, almost all cooled with chilled water. JLT was built out cluster by cluster from the late 2000s, so many towers are well over a decade old and a tenant moving in often inherits fan coil units whose drain trays and short ducts nobody has opened since handover.

What typically turns up

In older units the company often finds a filter caked grey, a coil with a felt-like layer of dust and a drain tray with slime that has already caused a small leak. Behind the grilles, the short ducts carry a film of dust that blows out as dark marks on the ceiling. A proper FCU cleaning deals with all of this in a few hours for a typical apartment.

Ducts or units?

If the apartment has long duct runs, for example in larger three-bedroom units, ask for AC duct cleaning in the same visit. If you only want to know whether the ducts are dirty, a camera check behind two or three grilles is a cheaper first step.

Planning the visit

Let the tower's management know, have the cluster and tower name ready, and move things away from the access panel. Next door: Dubai Marina.

Questions to ask in an older JLT tower

Ask the company whether the drain tray will be flushed as well as wiped, whether the filter can be upgraded, and whether they will photograph the coil before and after. In older towers, check with building management whether the access panel sizes are standard; in some units the panel was boarded over during a renovation and needs to be reopened carefully.
